Podcasts are out of the box, and we can't put them back in.

Hubert. Imaginary View of the Grande Galerie in the Louvre in Ruins.
1796. Oil on canvas. Musée du Louvre, Paris.
Yesterday I dropped the three completed "Parenting in Paideia" podcasts, the Oaks podcast on parenting and education. I attached the "Push Notifications" for this media series. So far I've had kind feedback from staff.

I also talked with Corey about next week's Back-to-School Night and secured a brief time for me to talk and present the app to parents. Corey is sending me an itinerary of the evening.

To do:

- Talk with Lower School teachers about the app and how to download, etc.

    Michaelmas

    Le Grande Saint Michel, Raphael.
    ANDREA DEL SARTO.
    Staints Michael and
    John Gualbert.
    1528. Tempera on wood.
    Galleria degli Uffizi, Florence.
Last week was the Feast of Saint Michael and All Angels. In English parlance this holiday is known as "Michaelmas." This is on September 29th and because of this is also the the name of the first term at Oxford. Michaelmas reminds of something very important, and the fact that this day is marked on the Church Calendar illustrates no mere mystery cult. We as Christian believe in "visibilium omnium et invisibilium," as the creed says. We believe that reality comprises both seen and unseen, a reality with humans and other beings that are "super" natural. Our world is crowded with angels and demons, cherubim and seraphim hurrying without haste to do the Lord's bidding. Shakespeare says, "There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, Than are dreamt of in your philosophy." That philosophy for us is materialism, and it is the zeitgeist and poison of the age. Michaelmas is one small way to counter that, a small dose of an antidote.

    Update for today:

    1. 1. Changed all media content to play in app.
    2. Changed and added new images to the each media or event item to match Oaks actual community.
    3. Added events, met with Jenna about adding a battery of upcoming events

Note on Art: Classical Christian Education is not simply acknowledging that we live among the ruins of a culture but that we also rebuild that which was lost.
